Review by hotel critic
The menu offered a selection showcasing the best local produce, including scallops from Tarbert Pier, a truly evocative taste of coastal Scotland. In the dining room, the ambiance was inviting, although the limited evening offerings felt more basic than I had hoped. Breakfast was particularly noteworthy; I opted for the GoFull cooked option, which emphasized both presentation and flavor, allowing the deliciousness of each element to shine—especially the tender steak and perfectly cooked eggs. While I encountered a few challenges during my stay, such as a room with inadequate heating and minor maintenance issues, the staff were attentive and responsive. They quickly accommodated my request to change rooms, enhancing my overall comfort. Parking was plentiful, though not entirely without its drawbacks, as I found out the hard way with a parking fine. Bus services provided ease of access to Glasgow, complementing my exploration of this vibrant cultural hub.
